hi guys! today i wanted to do something a little bit different, and send out a message to boys. i asked some of my friends to share some things that they wanted boys to know + what they look for in a guy (future spouse). so, guys, i hope you learn something from these personal experiences, and that you keep your mind and heart opened when reading what some girls look for in a guy. what i (faith) want guys to know:
1. be careful what you say to girls. if you say something rude, creepy or questionable to one girl, that girl will tell her friend, then that girl will tell her friend, and soon every girl in your town will know what you said. now, maybe girls shouldn't share as much as we do, but, we do. be careful. be mindful. be thoughtful. think.

hey guys! today i wanted to talk about something that basically everybody loves-- happiness. sometimes it is so hard to be happy, stay smiling and always put on a "Christian face." sometimes you can't keep a smile on your face, in the midst of every day crud. i want to give y'all some tips and some of my personal experiences with trying to stay happy! → TIP 01. do not overthink things. ||| if you're a girl, you'll find it very hard to not overthink. overthinking is like a second language for us. when a guy gives you a high-five, you think "oh my gosh! a high-five! he must be in love with me!" no. no, he is not in love with you... he gave you a high-five. overthinking is also the case when people talk to you. someone could say something as little as "girl, you are so short," and you automatically start re-evaluating your entire appearance. next time they see you, you'll be wearing Nike shorts with high heels, with your hair teased up to the ceiling. do not overthink things. words are meant like they're said... nothing more. → TIP 02. garbage in- garbage out. ||| most of the time, people look at this quote as if you listen to bad things, you'll say bad things... BUT, it's also a thing of, if you watch or listen to bad things, you begin to act badly... not 'badly,' as in cussing and doing things you shouldn't... 'badly' as in your mood will stink. if you're watching scary, gory, dark movies, you probably won't act like a ray of sunshine. keep this in mind... →TIP 03. be happy. ||| i know that it is sometimes very hard to be happy... but most of the time, happiness is a choice. if someone is getting on your nerves, it is hard to not let them get under your skin, but happiness is something you can choose to be. here's how: BE HAPPY. ignore people when they say rude things and acknowledge their rudeness with His love. →PERSONAL EXPERIENCES / i am a loud, fun, happy person. i'm never really upset and if i am, you normally don't know that i am. but, when someone judges my personality, it hurts like heck. it hurts so bad, because they're not judging one thing i've done... they're judging who i am. but, with prayer and confidence i can get over it, when people are rude. do not let words get to you. shake them off. listen to Jesus, who only says that you are amazing things. that you are beautiful and loved. stay happy and remember that happiness is a choice, and you can choose to be happy. stay salty!

i am surrounded by The arms of The Father. i am surrounded with songs of deliverance.
wherever you are right now, whatever you are doing, God is holding you in His glorious arms. you are sitting in His presence. you are sitting next to Him, across from Him, beside Him. how is this possible? because He is everywhere.
i looked up some synonyms for the word "everywhere," and this is what i found:
far and wide, near and far, high and low. these are the places where God is. are there any other options to where someone could be, other than what i just listed? no. God is everywhere. He is watching everything you do. if He were to have come back yesterday, would you be embarrassed about what He saw? were you yelling at your brother or sister? being disrespectful to your parents? watching or listening to something you shouldn't? well, He doesn't have to actually "come back" for Him to see what you're doing. we should all act as if He is always in the room with us... because, well, He is.
i am surrounded with songs of deliverance. we've been liberated from our bondage. He will deliver you from the burden that you're carrying. He wants you to give it all to Him. He wants you to give Him the weight that is on your shoulders. and guys, WE ARE NO LONGER SLAVES TO FEAR! He is not a God of fear. He is not a God of fearing whatever is binding you. whatever is holding you back from living to your full potential for Christ, let it go. give it all to Him. He will liberate you. oh, i just love being loved by Him. i am surrounded.

hi guys! today i have a super yummy recipe for you!
first things first, start with cracking two eggs into a hot skillet, and make them sunny side up. make sure that the yolk is runny, and whole.
next, cut a ripe avocado into slices and set aside.
how to know if avocado is ripe:
Place the avocado in the palm of your hand. Gently squeeze without applying your fingertips, as this can cause bruising. if the avocado yields to firm gentle pressure you know it's ripe and ready-to-eat!

after you fix up your eggs and avocado, put two pieces of bread into the toaster, until they reach your desired level of toasty-ness :)
when all is said and done, put your delicious creation together!
it should look something like this!

hi everyone! my name is faith and this is my blog! for my first post, i want to start by telling y'all why i chose this name for my blog. my all-time favorite bible verse is 'matthew 5:13'. i love thinking about the fact that god thinks we as christians are so important to the earth that he believes we are the salt of the earth. being the salt of the earth, to me, is such an important title. we are so important to this earth. so, considering that that verse and topic is so meaningful to me, that is why the first part of my name is "salt." for the "life" part of my name, well, it's quite self-explanatory, haha. my life, what i love, what i strive for and what makes me happy will all be on here too. i cannot wait to continue this journey with y'all! overall, i'm going to try and keep all of my blog posts fairly short and loaded with pictures... but, for this one i am taking a different approach, aha. please bare with all of the future "lol's and haha's" that you'll see on here :) i just tend to write like i talk! so, anyways, i hope y'all enjoy this blog so much. i pray that it ministers to you in more ways than one. please message me when you need a friend, or a prayer!
stay salty! -faith anne :)
